Sitting Silverback Gorilla Sculpture

A sculpture suitable for home display.

The gorilla is shown in a relaxed position yet acutely conscious of his surroundings. Brian works on a revolving turntable and his sculptures are designed to be seen from all angles. The texture used to suggest the surface of the gorilla is a characteristic of Brian Hollingworth's work. Yet he never allows this to over power the underlying structure of the animal portrayed He is acutely  aware of the anatomy and very feel of every animal he sculptures.

Every gorilla sculpture is a unique study, hand built and fired twice in an electric kiln. The second firing is to 1650C making the sculpture weatherproof and frost proof.  No moulds are used -  each piece is a one-off sculpture.
